Wow Logbook has been in existence for over five years, making events digitally smart through technology. We provide digital attendance registration services, event applications, ticketing solutions, and other digital tools that help make events more efficient, engaging, and easier to manage. Our work has involved supporting events, conferences, and religious gatherings with technology that improves the experience for both organizers and attendees.
Earlier this year, a partner reached out to us about the opportunity to provide digital event solutions for a conference in our neighbouring country, Nigeria. The client wanted us to provide several solutions, including a portal for attendees to submit research abstracts, a platform for purchasing tickets, a mobile application for the conference, and onsite registration and programme management for over 400 delegates.
We accepted the invitation and met with the client and key stakeholders to understand the scope of work. We then mapped out our approach and developed a proposal for the project.
We started by integrating our system into their existing website to manage ticketing and abstract submissions. Attendees were able to register, make payments, and receive their tickets upon successful registration. We also provided automated email services to keep attendees informed throughout the registration process.
As the conference approached, we launched a dedicated event app that was connected to the ticketing system. This meant that only attendees with verified tickets could access the application, making it exclusive to registered participants.
The app allowed attendees to view speaker profiles, access venue and accommodation information, and stay updated with important conference information. Because this was an international conference with attendees travelling from different locations, we also integrated an AI powered chat assistant to answer common questions and provide attendees with important information ahead of the conference.
The app also provided a platform for surveys and feedback, allowing the organizers to evaluate the event and better understand the experience of their attendees.
On the day of the conference, our team was on the ground in Abuja, Nigeria, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, managing ticket validation and new registrations using our Wow Logbook registration stands.
The conference was a success, and the technology helped make the registration process smooth while significantly reducing the need for printed brochures and other physical materials. Attendees had access to important conference information directly from their phones, creating a more efficient and engaging experience.
This project represents a major milestone for Wow Logbook as we continue to expand our services beyond Ghana. We look forward to working with more organizations, conferences, and events across Africa and beyond.
